About the role

For ambitious sales professionals, your earning potential is determined by your performance, not a capped commission or bonus scheme. At Clarendon Fine Art, we don't just sell artwork, we create exceptional experiences and help clients discover pieces they'll treasure for a lifetime. As the largest gallery group across the UK, US and at Sea, we're looking for ambitious, commercially driven people who enjoy building long-term client relationships, proactively generating business, and achieving outstanding sales results.

This is a consultative sales role, not a transactional retail position. If you enjoy developing clients, closing significant sales and being rewarded for your success, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll thrive in this role if you

  • Love working towards and exceeding sales targets.
  • Build rapport quickly and influence purchasing decisions naturally.
  • Enjoy developing long-term client relationships.
  • Are proactive, resilient and commercially minded.
  • Take ownership of your own success.

Relevant experience

We'd particularly love to hear from you if you've worked in:

  • Luxury Retail
  • Jewellery
  • Automotive
  • Property
  • Recruitment
  • Travel
  • Hospitality
  • Premium Customer Service
  • Business Development
  • Consultative Sales
  • Client Relationship Management

Our highest-performing art consultants typically

  • Start conversations confidently with people they've never met.
  • Enjoy being measured on commercial performance and achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • Take ownership when things don't go to plan and look for solutions.
  • Build long-term relationships rather than simply processing transactions.
  • Are naturally curious about people and what motivates them.
  • Enjoy asking thoughtful questions and listening carefully.
  • Thrive in a role where every day is different.
  • Are excited by the opportunity to influence significant purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

You'll build your own portfolio of clients through gallery visitors, existing collectors, referrals, exhibitions, events and proactive client development. You'll:

  • Build lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Match clients with artwork they'll love through a highly personalised consultative sales approach.
  • Contact clients by phone, email and face-to-face.
  • Host gallery events, private viewings and exclusive exhibitions.
  • Conduct home consultations and personalised appointments.
  • Generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences whilst achieving ambitious sales targets.

Benefits

  • Industry-leading uncapped commission.
  • Commission paid both monthly and quarterly.
  • Comprehensive sales and product training.
  • 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays).
  • Commission paid whilst on holiday.
  • Company pension.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Virtual GP.
  • A supportive, ambitious and high-performing team.

Pay

OTE £40,000+ per annum (uncapped commission).
