About the role

The End User Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in influencing Allegion's market share for commercial hardware and electronic security solutions. They collaborate closely with internal teams and key industry stakeholders to support end users in education, healthcare, government, and other commercial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Hunt and farm: Act with a hunter mentality to identify new business opportunities and maintain relationships with current end-users.
  • Pipeline management: Effectively manage and prioritize the sales pipeline to maximize territory growth.
  • Sales process management: Oversee the full sales cycle through team collaboration and accurate, up-to-date reporting in the CRM system.
  • Consultation & customer success: Utilize a "listen-first" strategy to understand customer challenges and position Allegion solutions. Drive adoption of customer-facing digital tools and ensure adequate training on new and existing solutions.
  • Market strategy & continuous improvement: Maintain a strategic understanding of market conditions and competitive activity, adapt to changes, and engage with industry trends. Actively participate in factory training sessions to stay updated on mechanical and electronic security solutions.
  • Corporate culture: Embody Allegion's core values and comply with all company policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in door hardware, access control, or physical security.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate autonomously and consistently meet or exceed goals.
  • Technical aptitude to learn mechanical and electronic security solutions, including an intermediate understanding of electricity and electronic components.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proven ability to influence decision-makers and a strong bias for action.
  • Commitment to growth, demonstrating openness to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to be employed in the United States.
  • Not sponsored for employment visas.
