About the role

The Sales Consultant, Business Insurance at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive prospecting plan, networking with key decision-makers, and delivering MMA's value proposition to secure new business and retain existing clients. This role requires a strong background in B2B sales, consultative selling skills, and a proven track record in client development and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a prospecting plan targeting new business opportunities
  • Network with key decision-makers to identify and pursue new business leads
  • Present MMA's value proposition to prospects and align Agency resources and capabilities
  • Leverage referrals and targeted introductions to grow client base
  • Manage and nurture existing client relationships to ensure retention and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior B2B sales experience with consultative selling skills
  • Proven track record in developing new clients and retaining existing relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Risk Management or related field
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Ability to engage and present with senior-level executives
  • Competitive in a collaborative sales environment
