About the role
The Sales Consultant, Business Insurance at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive prospecting plan, networking with key decision-makers, and delivering MMA's value proposition to secure new business and retain existing clients. This role requires a strong background in B2B sales, consultative selling skills, and a proven track record in client development and relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a prospecting plan targeting new business opportunities
- Network with key decision-makers to identify and pursue new business leads
- Present MMA's value proposition to prospects and align Agency resources and capabilities
- Leverage referrals and targeted introductions to grow client base
- Manage and nurture existing client relationships to ensure retention and growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior B2B sales experience with consultative selling skills
- Proven track record in developing new clients and retaining existing relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Risk Management or related field
- Insurance industry experience preferred
- Ability to engage and present with senior-level executives
