About the role
The Sales Consultant role at OneWater Marine focuses on assisting customers throughout the sales process, ensuring exceptional experiences and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and engaging with walk-in customers, phone inquiries, and online leads using OneWater sales tools such as CRM.
- Developing relationships with customers by understanding their needs.
- Professionally presenting products to customers and prospects, including reviewing features and benefits.
- Managing the sales process from start to finish, including presentations, preparing quotes, completing trade evaluations, and presenting pricing to achieve margin and customer satisfaction goals.
- Closing sales and meeting or exceeding sales goals (monthly and annually).
- Maintaining an understanding of products being offered at stores, including boat models, brands, features, and accessories.
- Staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
- Providing post-sale support, ensuring customer satisfaction, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Promoting repeat business by actively following up with past clients.
- Attending sales meetings and participating in boat shows, store, and off-site sales and customer events.
- Completing and maintaining all necessary paperwork used/needed throughout the sales process.
Qualifications / Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce or similar platforms).
- Prior experience in marine sales is a plus.
- Solid understanding of marine products, accessories, and boating trends is preferred.
