Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and customers as they enter the store.
  • Identify patients’ needs to ensure an easy and memorable experience.
  • Provide promotional products and services available.
  • Aids patients and customers in choosing eyewear that fits their budget and eye care needs.
  • Troubleshoot and identify problems related to prescriptions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions to remedy situations.
  • Attain sales goals while complying with company and local policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to quality control standards including OSHA and other safety requirements.
  • Ensure brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties.
  • Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames, and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses.
  • Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area.
  • Notify management of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.
  • Keep track of delivery time commitments to patients (Now Service, Ready When Promised).
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service while exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.
  • The skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
  • Passion for outstanding customer/patient care and eagerness to share that passion with others.
  • Schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Optical experience is a plus.
