About the Role
Trade Sales Consultants are charged with developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with builders, contractors, architects, trade organizations and consumer clients and are responsible for all practices and aspects pertaining to generating a high-volume, profitable sales while achieving maximum market penetration with a high level of customer satisfaction. Special projects and other duties as assigned and based on business necessity.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all field activities and aspects relating to customer relations, product application, product sales and delivery, service and product installation instruction, collections, and striving for 100% customer satisfaction.
- Captivates, promotes and advances the visibility and presence of the entire Marvin product line while maintaining a continual awareness of activity or news in the architectural and construction-related community.
- Able to represent Mountain West Windows & Doors at company-sponsored events, at professional group’s invitations to discuss and/or present Marvin products, at trade association meetings, and at consumer home shows to promote Marvin products.
- Presents product demonstrations, accurately reads, interprets and takes-off blueprints, and uses electronic software and systems (PQM, MSOffice, etc.) to quote, sell and order products for remodeling and new construction residential and light commercial projects, and assists in providing prompt and on-time delivery.
- Ensures that Marvin products are installed properly and in accordance with recommended guidelines of the manufacturer.
- Follows up on leads generated by lead reports, window store generated and outstanding proposals.
- Provides feedback regularly and upon request including but not limited to; wins and losses, competitive information, quality alerts as well as periodic special requests.
- Mentors newer team members and hosts Corp guests for field visits upon request.
- Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities in the department.
Qualifications
- BS/BA, AA or Technical degree preferred.
- 2-4 years’ sales, customer service, or general business experience preferred.
- Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications or components is desirable.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be in compliance with the company Fleet Safety Policy.

Physical Demands
- Sit and use hands to handle or feel, especially with use of the phone and computer.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms and talk or hear, especially in use of the telephone and meetings.
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 75 lbs.
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus to read written company forms, correspondence, policies, brochures, state/local/federal employment law manuals, and other documents and reading materials as well as the computer.
