About the role

Join La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Patchogue, NY as a Sales Consultant. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about modern luxury and eager to transform lives through our products.

Responsibilities

• Guiding high-end clients through a premium sales experience
• Create inspired spaces with world-class furniture and décor
• Curate luxury looks while earning unlimited commissions
• Drive sales, contribute to store sales goals, and execute the La-Z-Boy selling process
• Support the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve sales goals
• Develop and utilize sales skills, including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, answering objections, closing, follow-up, after-sale service, and continuing contact with customers
• Maintain strong knowledge of product lines and features, and execute the Design process
• Provide exceptional customer service, handle customer issues, and offer solutions
• Maintain a positive working relationship with store employees and assist in training and development
• Achieve store operational excellence by assisting with store maintenance, managing customer records, and scheduling deliveries

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade and negotiate
• Ability to manage time and priorities, work with a team, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Initiative to meet goals, motivated to achieve more, and strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred
• Pass background and drug screen

Pay

• Base Pay: $15 / hour (varies by store location)
• Commission & Bonus: Earn more with uncapped commission on written sales (3% on La-Z-Boy Design Sales and 2% on other sales), with a quarterly bonus opportunity of $1,500 based on meeting individual sales goals

Schedule

Nearly continuous use of repetitive hand motions, hearing and listening. Often required to sit, walk, bend and stoop. Subject to inside environmental conditions. Ability to pass background and drug screen.
