As a Sales Associate, you will sell La-Z-Boy products and services, using and developing all selling and customer service skills to meet and exceed company goals. You will be responsible for achieving store goals, maintaining the trust and loyalty of all customers and team members, and providing the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Guide high-end clients through a premium sales experience.
- Create inspired spaces with world-class furniture and décor.
- Curate luxury looks while earning commissions with no ceiling.
- Interact with customers professionally to provide the highest level of customer service.
- Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals through selling furniture, accessories, and services.
- Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in company training and store meetings.
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on La-Z-Boy product knowledge and selling processes.
- Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, maintain orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries.
- Follow company procedures and policies, including those against harassment, attendance, sales, and customer interaction.
- Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes.
- Maintain a sales average consistent with company standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence.
- Vocational or technical training in the field of study.
- Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long periods of time.
- Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding and ability to work with computer technology.
- Luxury sales experience is a major plus.

Pay
Compensation: $45,864 salary, not eligible for commission during the training period of 2 - 6 weeks.
Average Annual Post-Training Earnings: $60,000 – $100,000+.
Commission: Uncapped monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales, based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goals (less the monthly draw). The company will not pay less than state/local minimum wage requirements.
