A Day in the Life of an Automotive Sales Consultant
- Approaching and talking to customers who enter the dealership lot
- Listening and asking questions to determine the customer’s needs and wants in a vehicle
- Provide knowledgeable information and demonstrate features of suitable inventory
- Ensure the customer understands the paperwork, warranty, and vehicle’s specifications
- Closes sales by overcoming objections, asking for sales, negotiating prices, and completing sales and purchasing contracts
- Cultivates buyers by maintaining rapport with current and previous customers
Qualifications
- Interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people daily
- Ability to contact customers, complete sales, and manage other tasks independently
- Time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
