Sales Consultant

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive equipment in a professional and safe manner
• Deliver products as invoiced to specified licensed retailer
• Builds strong relationships with customers and delivery personnel
• Addresses customer needs in a timely manner
• Includes merchandising, delivering product, and putting up deliveries at accounts
• Increases consumer awareness of brands through proactive shelf management practices to include presentations for additional space, location, flow, and organization of products
• Checks-in invoiced orders with customers in a friendly, courteous manner
• Accounts for all invoices as merchandise delivered and merchandise returned
• Completes appropriate paperwork throughout the delivery process in a timely fashion
• Ensures vehicle check-in procedures are followed daily
• Ensures vehicle service and safety issues are reported daily
• Attends monthly safety meetings
• Attends required safety courses and other classes as needed
• Reports any local, state, or federal moving violations to management
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalency plus 2 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid State Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to navigate the assigned driving area in an efficient manner
• Customer service oriented, friendly, helpful, and have a professional disposition
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Knowledge of marketplace experience, developments and trends related to the industry; ability to use this information in support of organizational goals

Physical Demands

• Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
• Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
• Will require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45 lbs.
