About the role
Join our team as a Sales Clerk serving the military community and their families. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with merchandise selection.
- Respond promptly to all customer concerns with a sense of urgency.
- Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service, including demonstrations or explanations of technical product features.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and participate in inventories.
- Replenish stock and maintain merchandise in a neat, presentable condition.
- Advise supervisor or department head of customer requests.
- Process payments via cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and gift cards; operate the cash register, provide accurate change, and balance the till at the end of each shift.
- Maintain records of sales, turn in sales records, money, stamps, customer checks, charge slips, and account for all monies and items sold.
- Perform price changes (markdowns or markups) and set up company promotions, ensuring proper display, signage, and item labels.
- Follow all Loss Prevention policies, proactively address shrink, and use the Alert Line as needed.
- Adhere to all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Work weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature.
- Basic math skills (counting, subtraction, multiplication, division) for stocking and inventory purposes, demonstrated by high school coursework, a GED, or high school diploma.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Pay
$21.30 per hour
Schedule
Intermittent (0–19 hours per week)
