Sales Associate with Food Service

About the role

This role involves supporting the smooth operation of a retail store with a restaurant/food preparation area by stocking inventory, maintaining store cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and handling financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily activities to ensure efficient store operations.
• Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and address customer concerns.
• Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow all food safety regulations, policies, and procedures (preparation, handling, storage, and employee reporting).
• Adhere to franchise food policies, including required certifications.
• Comply with company uniform policy.
• Operate cash register, handle taxable/non-taxable items, SNAP purchases, cash control, and safe drop procedures.
• Clock in and out using the store’s computer system.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience working in a retail environment (preferred).
• Ability to lift, stand, and remain active for the duration of the shift with frequent movement around the store.
• Active listening and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative.
• Time management and operational excellence.
• Reliable form of communication to be reached.
• Knowledge of food preparation practices and selling techniques.
