Uptown Cheapskate is an exciting retail store concept that sells quality clothing brands at affordable prices. Every month, our franchise stores buy and resell thousands of clothing items that have been gently used at a fraction of the original prices. Our stores feel more like a boutique than a thrift shop, allowing more people to feel comfortable shopping second-hand.

At Uptown Cheapskate, we have a passion for sustainable fashion. We are dedicated to reducing the impact of the fashion industry on the planet by being green 365 days per year. Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has joined forces with Kid to Kid and buildOn across the nation to raise money to build schools in developing countries, funding 18 schools and counting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting every customer.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Work as part of a team to maintain a fun, energetic, and welcoming shopping environment.
• Learn current fashion trends and our buying standards.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and assist with transactions.
• Help maintain store appearance and organization throughout each shift.
• Act as the voice and point person for difficult customers, help deter theft, and support younger staff to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment.
• Escort or be present for younger staff during closing shifts.

Pay

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule

Most shifts will be evening shifts. Part-time and full-time positions may be available.
