About the role

Lafayette 148’s Outlet Stores sell post-season merchandise by providing clients with a tailored, elevated shopping experience. The Sales Associate represents the brand image and is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing a client base to achieve sales goals. The role provides expert product and wardrobing advice while delivering a memorable client experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain deep connections with clients and drive repeat business to achieve sales goals.
• Consistently deliver memorable in-store experiences to all clients; plan client appointments to maximize results.
• Inform clients on in-store events and new product deliveries to enhance their experience and increase engagement.
• Use multiple channels of technology to strengthen existing relationships and drive new client acquisition.
• Possess a broad range of product knowledge across all categories of the brand; take initiative to stay informed to maximize selling potential.
• Demonstrate the ability to address a client’s total wardrobe needs across all categories.
• Inform clients on brand services to ensure they can enjoy all Lafayette 148 has to offer.
• Always put the client first when resolving issues, exceeding expectations.
• Support operational functions within the store, including opening/closing procedures, inventory, and daily revenue reporting.
• Maintain merchandising and visual presentation standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in a premium to luxury selling environment.
• Existing client base/book preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills

• Strong customer service and communication (verbal and writing) skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing available technology.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb stairs/ladders, and occasionally bend or kneel to access merchandise.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment; constant communication and visual focus required.
• Occasionally lift, carry, or move merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 25 lbs.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 hourly. Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
