Responsibilities
- Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile to ensure they feel welcomed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
- Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards.
- Create a positive end-user experience based on the products customers purchase.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking.
- Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights greater than 6 ft.
- Attend all required Scheels product training and store meetings.
- Assist in training new associates in the store’s areas of expertise.
- Navigate a personal computer and handheld inventory computer/scanner (Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, AS400).
- Assist in all other duties assigned by the leadership team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 months of sales experience (ideal but not required).
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Must follow all safety procedures to minimize the risk of injury.
Schedule
- Flexible hours between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- 9:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:30 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sundays.
- Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be available a minimum of two weekends per month.
- Average hours per week: 20–25.
Pay
$16–22 per hour.
