About the Role

Our Sales Associates are product and sales experts who tell the story behind our iconic pieces. Design Within Reach (DWR) Outlets sells furniture, lighting, rugs, and accessories for living, dining, bedroom, and outdoor areas. As a Sales Associate you will sell over 200 premium modern design brands, building sales through new and existing customers, outreach, and interactions from the store’s social media and web traffic. Sales Associates report to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Sell over 200 premium modern design brands.
• Maximize sales to exceed requirements and drive orders to hit sales targets.
• Utilize social media, outreach, walk‑in traffic, and client data to increase sales.
• Maintain the store’s design and visual standards.
• Facilitate the Design Within Reach client experience in store.
• Drive engagement by providing excellent client experiences.
• Attend store meetings, product trainings, and use the DWR website and catalog to increase product and design knowledge as well as industry awareness.

Requirements

• Background in retail sales or customer success preferred.
• Ability to identify client needs, problem‑solve, and communicate product features and benefits verbally and in writing.
• Experience with a POS system; proficiency with MS Office and web navigation preferred.
• Ability to routinely move objects weighing over 40 pounds and understand safety requirements.

Pay

Competitive hourly base with uncapped commission on shipped items; performance‑based bonus plan.

Schedule

Store open daily, Sunday through Saturday; weekend and holiday availability required.
