Sales Associate, Racquet Shop

About the role

The Broadmoor is a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond resort dedicated to providing exceptional service and experiences. This role involves assisting in the back office and on the floor of the Racquet Shop, focusing on customer service and managing tennis and pickleball equipment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all opening and closing procedures
• Operate computer and cash register
• Assist with bi-annual inventory
• Maintain overall order of Racquet Shop
• Keep shoe room clean, with sizes in order
• Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise
• Take court reservations and tennis/pickleball lesson reservations over telephone and in person
• Interact and coordinate with teaching staff to ensure guest needs are met
• Absorb and alert pros when towels are needed
• Monitor level of guest towels and alert pros when you need more
• Monitor all shop supplies and forms, including but not limited to; daily lesson sheets/logs, register and journal tape, general office supplies
• Absorb and alert pros when towels are needed
• Assist Director of Tennis with tennis reservations
• Attend all Racquet staff meetings and report on your area of responsibility
• Communicate with existing and prospective clientele by telephone to increase participation and to ensure that clinics, camps, and programs are filled
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience and/or knowledge of tennis and tennis equipment
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three plus months of retail or office experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including; Outlook, Word, Excel
• Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
