Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering inquiries about merchandise, pricing, and promotions.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately to process transactions, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelves, displays, and product arrangement.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
• Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors when products need restocking.
• Follow procedures for handling cash, coupons, and store discounts.
• Maintain knowledge of all products, including new arrivals and special promotions.
• Track expiration dates and remove expired or damaged products from shelves.
• Follow food safety and handling procedures for perishable items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Handle customer complaints professionally, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Assist with cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers.
• Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail and ability to organize merchandise effectively.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and experience with POS systems is a plus.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a positive and collaborative environment.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors.
