Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Sporting Goods - Tilton, IL

About the role

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, providing excellent customer service including greeting customers, answering product-related questions, and performing cashier responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they shop in the retail store
• Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested
• Assist in receiving freight and organizing incoming products
• Participate in cycle counts
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately
• Handle customer transactions using KCX cash register system
• Accurately handle cash and manage customer returns
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for the sale of firearms (FOID card needed)
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
• Long periods of standing
• Frequent bending and twisting
• Cold and warm working conditions
• Irregular work schedule
