Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Pulaski, TN ( Pulaski Shopping Center )

Location: Pulaski, Tennessee (Pulaski Shopping Center) | Hourly pay: $9.00 - $9.00 | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Reports To: Store Manager

About the Role

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. They are knowledgeable in each product area or department in the store, uphold policies and procedures, and fully promote sales and promotions. The Sales Associate serves as an ambassador of the organization and brand, creating a unique customer experience to acquire and retain long-time customers. They are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and promoting store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual, including assisting customers as they enter the store and managing multiple customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by the organization.
• Set and consistently work toward goals to grow and improve selling skills while tracking overall sales.
• Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, customer service manual, and company memos.
• Assist in daily store operations, including completing work lists, clean-up tasks, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
• Utilize product knowledge to present merchandise and promote sales, following guidance in the product knowledge manual.
• Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
• Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
• Attend all staff meetings and technical clinics for the store.
• Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
