About the role

KENT Outdoors seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will embody our brand's mission of empowering the best days outside and will be responsible for serving customers, managing the store, and promoting our premium products.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the voice of the brand, putting the customer at the center of everything we do.
  • Open and close the business, managing the store as directed by the store manager.
  • Learn and confidently speak about BOTE products, including paddleboards, kayaks, skiffs, docks, and all associated gear.
  • Work with a sense of urgency to respond to and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Place customers on the correct products with the ideal gear, ensuring they have the best experience possible.
  • Build community by engaging with customers one-on-one, fostering loyalty and trust.
  • Own the process for maintaining brand standards, performing general housekeeping, replenishing stock, and visual merchandising.
  • Lead customer engagement actions and behaviors, delivering legendary experiences consistently.
  • Contribute to and achieve sales plans and KPI results.
  • Be knowledgeable and confident with all store financials, procedures, and playbooks.

Requirements

Direct experience in customer experience and delivering sales and KPI targets is required. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire others are essential. Experience working with premium brands and delivering exceptional experiences to both internal and external customers is preferred. Excellent time management, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence are also key.
