Sales Associate (Part Time)

Part-time Associates will be scheduled various hours based on availability up to 30 hours per week and are eligible for some—but not all—of our company's benefits. Full-time Associates are scheduled 30–40 hours per week and are eligible for the company's full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions and participate in suggestive selling.
• Follow cash control procedures, complete shift reports, and safeguard cash.
• Clean store interior and exterior: sweep, mop, wipe surfaces, pick up litter, and sanitize restrooms.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays both inside and outside.
• Prepare food following guidelines, operate food equipment, and adhere to food sanitation standards.
• Monitor safe temperatures, record waste, and maintain safety procedures including fuel dispensing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak, and understand).
• Able to perform basic math calculations for making change and completing shift reports.
• Good accuracy and attention to detail; ability to multi-task.
• Able to carry, push/pull, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds alone; occasional use of a step ladder.
• Able to bend, kneel, stoop, squat, and reach over shoulder height.
• Prolonged walking or standing for up to 8–10 continuous hours on concrete or tile surfaces.
• Able to sweep, mop, maintain interior/exterior lots, and shovel snow.
• Able to work alone or with others, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work in freezers and coolers at 10 degrees for up to 30 minutes at a time.
• Able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
