Sales Associate (Part-Time) - American Way, Memphis, TN

Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated employees to join our team to enhance the shopping experience for our customers at DTLR stores. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in driving sales and fostering strong customer relationships.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs and maintain DTLR standards.
• Aid in managing shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive and enthusiastic image to customers, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Comply with all company policies and embrace service training and product programs.
• Ensure visual standards are met, complete daily restocks, and represent appropriate merchandise sizes.
• Help prevent and address both employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a tidy and organized sales environment.
• Support store organization as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• An excellent command of the English language for effective communication with management, customers, and colleagues.
• Basic fashion and style knowledge, along with a passion for working with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, attention to detail, flexibility, strong communication, and interpersonal skills for providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, handling merchandise, and maintaining a clean store environment.
• The ability to stand for extended periods, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, work extended hours during critical phases, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Reliable transportation.
