Sales Associate - Optical Specialist - Part Time

About the role

The Optical Specialist role at Eyeglass World is customer-facing and integral to the in-store experience. This position combines optical support, finishing excellence, and customer connection to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional customer experience by delivering warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education, ensuring they leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists, helping to ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey, performing finishing work including final adjustments, inspections, and quality checks to ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoffs, maintaining organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Operate with precision and care, supporting order entry, tracking, and timely completion, while identifying and resolving quality or service issues proactively.
• Bring the brand to life by modeling Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction, upholding visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store.
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience, supporting shared goals and prioritizing customer satisfaction at every interaction.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required)
• Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills (Required)
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively (Required)
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required)
• Support store team in shared goals (Required)
• Bilingual abilities (Preferred)
