Sales Associate - Optical Specialist - Part Time

About the role

The Optical Specialist role at Eyeglass World is customer-facing and plays a crucial part in delivering the brand's vision of style, service, and quality eye care. This position requires strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills, along with clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional customer experience by providing warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Support clinical and in-store flow by assisting with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey.
• Own finish and quality excellence by performing finishing work including final adjustments, inspections, and quality checks.
• Avoid quality or service issues by identifying and resolving them proactively.
• Bring the brand to life by modeling Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction.
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store.
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively.
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction.
• Support store team in shared goals.
• Bilingual abilities (preferred).
