Sales Associate - Optical Specialist - Part Time

About the Role

The Optical Specialist is a customer-facing role at the heart of the Eyeglass World in-store experience. This position brings the brand to life through confident service, attention to detail, and ownership of the final moments that matter most, from pre-exam support to eyewear readiness, fitting, and pickup. As a key member of the team, this role ensures every customer interaction feels seamless, elevated, and on-brand. This role blends customer connection, optical support, and finishing excellence to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional customer experience by delivering warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education, ensuring they leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists, ensuring smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Perform finishing work, including final adjustments, inspections, and quality checks, ensuring all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver a polished, brand-aligned handoff.
• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion, maintaining organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction, upholding visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store.
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required)

Skills

• Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills (Required)
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively (Required)
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required)
• Support store team in shared goals (Required)
• Bilingual abilities (Preferred)

Schedule

Must be available to work at least 3 days per week, including weekends. Available workdays may include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Sundays off.
