About the Role
The Sales Associate Development Program is designed for high-potential candidates with prior sales experience to develop specialized skills and experience in Medical Sales. Participants will be mentored through product and sales training, as well as comprehensive advanced corporate training, to prepare for a successful career as a sales representative at ASP Global. The program combines in-servicing and field-based selling experiences to build expertise in promoting ASP Global’s assigned products, primarily the PRIMO brand.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and provide support for product demonstrations, clinical trials, and customer service.
- Deliver in-service support (technical, clinical, and educational) for the Wound Prevention category, including heel offloading, turning and positioning, pressure redistribution, and safe patient handling.
- Promote and increase sales of the ASP/PRIMO Wound Prevention Portfolio under the guidance of the Manager, Clinical Sales and Development.
- Attend New Hire Training and Field Training to develop product knowledge, customer engagement skills, and sales techniques.
- Assist in coordinating and conducting in-services, educational events, and value-added programs at accounts identified by the Manager.
- Support the Field Sales Team in coordinating and monitoring product evaluations.
- Manage activity in open territories, including promotions, terminations, and extended leaves as needed.
- Expand knowledge through educational programs, seminars, conferences, and participation in industry groups (e.g., WOCN Society, AHHRM, ASPHP).
- Utilize ASP sales tools and databases for prospect targeting and other job-related functions.
- Assist in preparing for large meetings, including creating presentations, preparing sample packs and literature, and participating in meetings.
- Support cross-references and pricing analyses as required.
- Provide Customer Service-related assistance.
Requirements
- Prior sales experience.
- Willingness to participate in comprehensive training programs, including New Hire Training and Field Training.
- Ability to work closely with the Manager, Clinical Sales and Development, VP, and Clinical Sales Specialists.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through industry events and educational opportunities.
