About the role
Talbots is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer of women's clothing, shoes and accessories. Haven Well Within is a new initiative launched by Talbots to empower women to prioritize their wellbeing at home.
Responsibilities
- Create an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
- Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas.
- Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching and feedback.
- Proactively communicate store information, brand initiatives, discrepancies, and other pertinent information to management in order to better enhance the customer experience.
- Manage inventory according to policies and procedures including filling orders, recalls, recovery, replenishment, re-tickets etc.
- Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet the needs of the customer and business.
- Support all areas of operational excellence.
- Open and close the store for business as needed.
- Seek to understand customer needs & wants with curiosity and confidence through intentional conversation.

- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.
- Able to work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
- Possess the technological aptitude to navigate POS/computer/iPad/handheld systems.
- Flexible availability based on the needs of the business including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
