Sales Associate II - Part Time

About the role

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Full Time Sales Associate II to work in our Watertown Thrifty Shopper. This position serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise. It also assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store, promotes Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers, provides customer service, manages cash reconciliation, and maintains the store's cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise.
• Aids store management in running an efficient and service-oriented store.
• Promotes Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers.
• Greet customers with a smile and provide information and answer questions.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager.
• Process cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards at the end of shifts in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager.
• Stocks shelves, counters, racks, and tables as needed.
• Set up displays and make announcements as directed by the supervisor.
• Ensures the clean and orderly condition of the store.
• Displays a team attitude and contributes by assisting in identifying, reporting, and solving issues to the store management.
• Works in an unsupervised atmosphere and flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• 1-3 years retail experience preferred.
• Previous customer-service experience.
• Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred.
• Emotionally mature and able to handle stress professionally and in public.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and days.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Manages time efficiently and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, visually check color-coded racks and sizing by number, and bend and lift as required.

Pay

$16.30 per hour
