Sales Associate I

About the role

This position is responsible for verifying that all requested implants and instruments are prepared and ready for cases. It involves utilizing communication skills, knowledge of Zimmer Biomet products, and in-person meetings to assist current and potential customers. The role also includes building strong relationships with key surgeons across various procedures.

Responsibilities

• Requests implants/instruments necessary to cover designated surgeries through SMS.
• Plans, coordinates, and ensures all implants/instruments are in place prior to cases.
• Covers surgeon schedules.
• Builds strong relationships with key surgeons while covering Reconstructive, Extremities, CAS, Surgical, Sports Medicine, and Trauma procedures with clinical proficiency.
• Adheres strictly to all policies and SOPs regarding interactions with HCPs, product handling, complaints, expense reporting, sales activities, and training.
• Informs the Sales Leader about market data, potential, territory/customer concerns, and opportunities to assist in developing territory strategies.
• Develops relationships with internal support personnel.
• Provides after-hour and/or weekend on-call case coverage and additional case coverage for the territory.
• Collaborates and supports the sales team and/or territory, including transporting Zimmer Biomet instruments and implants for cases.

Requirements

• Must be mobile and willing to travel.
• Willing and capable of carrying weights up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Communicates clearly in both verbal and written forms in English.
• Pays close attention to detail and completes tasks accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate's degree, medical certification, or equivalent education and experience is required.
• 0-2 years of sales or sales service experience in medical devices or surgery.
