Responsibilities

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter the shop.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
• Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience.
• Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing.
• Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking.
• Demonstrate product usage within the shop and retrieve product from heights greater than 6 ft.
• Attend all required Scheels product training and store meetings.
• Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise.
• Navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, and AS400.
• Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1-3 months of sales experience (ideal but not required).
• Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5:00pm and 9:00pm, Monday through Friday, 9:30am-9:00pm Saturday, and 10:30am-6:00pm Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be available a minimum of two weekends a month.
• Average hours per week: 20-25 hours.

Pay

Earn $17-$22/hour.
