Sales Associate - Home Textiles and Design

About the role

A locally owned furniture and home accessories retailer is seeking a warm, detail-oriented Sales Associate to join their textiles team. The position covers fabrics, upholstery, bedding, and home décor.

Responsibilities

• Help customers choose fabrics, bedding, and home textiles that match their style and budget
• Offer informed guidance on color, texture, pattern, and material - building your expertise as you go
• Process fabric orders accurately, including measuring, cutting, and entering custom orders in our system
• Keep displays, inventory, and the sales floor looking their best
• Collaborate with teammates across departments, especially during busy seasons

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of helping people
• Retail, customer service, or design-related experience is a plus - not a requirement
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable in a busy environment
• Comfortable with computers; Shopify experience is a bonus
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Weekend availability required
