Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with licensed insurance brokers and agencies.
- Promote and sell University of Utah Health Plans’ commercial group health insurance products.
- Conduct broker training sessions, webinars, and in-person meetings to educate on plan offerings and updates.
- Collaborate with internal teams (underwriting, marketing, customer service) to support broker needs and ensure a seamless sales process.
- Track and report on broker activity, sales pipeline, and market trends.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand broker relationships and market presence.
- Aid in the development of sales strategies and marketing materials tailored to the broker channel.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Utah Health Insurance Producer License or obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Strong knowledge of the Utah health insurance market and broker landscape.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel throughout Utah as needed.
