Sales Associate - Hard Rock Store

Job Description

The Retail Clerk is responsible for marketing Retail merchandise to Guests, stocking the Retail area, and performing sales transactions.

  • Marksets Retail merchandise to Guests
  • Stocks and re-stocks the Retail area to ensure an adequate inventory of all goods
  • Performs cash and/or credit transactions with Guests
  • Maintains current knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures-including precheck and cashiering procedures
  • Ensures Guest satisfaction with effective communication, customer assistance, direction, and information provided within company policies and guidelines
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Cashiering/money handling experience in making accurate change in a fast-paced environment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Must possess ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time
  • Must possess order-entry skills
  • Must possess ability to become proficient to operate computer systems utilized and 10-key adding machines
  • Windows based software proficiency preferred
  • Must have extensive cashiering experience
  • Must have exceptional guest service skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Work Environment

  • Faced-paced work environment
  • Exposure to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise
  • Must be able to work standing/walking for long periods of time
  • Must be able to perform tasks such as lifting and moving up to 20 pounds
  • Must have specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
