Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous service to all customers inside the store, outside of the store, and on the phone.
• Ensure merchandise is placed on the sales floor in a timely manner.
• Accurately ring items on the register.
• Demonstrate accurate cash handling, including making change, operating and maintaining the cash register, checking and charging card machines, and using a calculator.
• Maintain knowledge of merchandise and answer customers’ questions courteously and promptly.
• Keep floor merchandise neat and orderly (racks, shelves, bins, and hangers) and assist customers with purchase selections.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Maintain an orderly and clean register area.
• Maintain familiarity with store security procedures and exercise security practices when necessary.
• Perform general housekeeping responsibilities, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping shelves, dusting, and cleaning restrooms and dressing rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and GGW associates.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to settle customer complaints.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods (up to 7 hours per 8‑hour shift).
• Ability to bend and lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Basic working knowledge of computer applications and the internet.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of previous work experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a retail environment.
• Excellent customer service related skills.
• Working knowledge of a cash register.
• Multilingual with complete fluency in English.
