Sales Associate (Full-Time) - Sporting Goods/Firearms Sales - Aberdeen, SD

About the role

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, providing excellent customer service. This includes greeting customers, handling cashier responsibilities, answering product-related questions, product assembly, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by management. The role requires knowledge of firearms and the ability to accurately complete all required FFL procedures for firearm sales. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
• Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves.
• Assist in receiving freight and organize incoming products.
• Participate in cycle counts.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
• Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Ensure accurate cash handling.
• Handle customer returns.
• Perform housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and twist.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for firearm sales is strongly preferred.

Working Environment

• Retail store environment with exposure to cold and warm conditions.
• Irregular work schedule.

Pay
