Sales Associate (Full Time)

About the role

As a Sales Associate, you will deliver friendly, professional customer service while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and resolve concerns with a friendly, outgoing attitude.
• Process customer transactions accurately, including handling cash, making change, and completing shift reports.
• Engage in suggestive selling to enhance customer experience.
• Follow cash control procedures, including cash drops and safeguarding company funds.
• Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, picking up litter, and sanitizing restrooms.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays both inside and outside the store.
• Follow food preparation and sanitation guidelines, operate food service equipment, monitor safe food temperatures, and record waste.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including fuel dispensing safety standards.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak, and understand).
• Basic math skills for making correct change and completing shift reports.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, squat, reach, and perform overhead reaching as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours) on concrete or tile surfaces.
• Ability to work in freezers and coolers (approximately 10°F) for up to 30 minutes at a time.
• Tolerance for exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as scheduled.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to perform snow removal and maintain interior and exterior store areas and equipment.
