Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice and assistance on product selection, usage, and maintenance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of store products, promotions, and policies.
- Absorb and organize merchandise on the sales floor.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's point-of-sale system.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and objectives.
- Participate in inventory management and stock control activities.
- Uphold store standards for cleanliness, safety, and visual merchandising.
- Engage in continuous learning and development to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Required Experience: Previous experience in a retail sales environment is preferred. Experience with customer service and client relationship management is advantageous. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management is beneficial.
- Required Skills And Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in basic mathematics for handling transactions and inventory. Capable of standing for extended periods and able to lift merchandise as needed. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the retail environment.
