About the Role

As a sales associate in our Sports Medicine specialty, you’ll be the face of Stryker products. You will assist Sales Representatives in the sales, promotion, and marketing of Stryker products. You will educate and inform doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel on the proper use, maintenance, functionality, updates, and portfolio changes of Stryker products. Following extensive product training, you must tailor Stryker’s promotional message based on customer knowledge, advise on product selection, answer questions about functionality, and distinguish Stryker products from competitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the sales, promotion, and marketing of Stryker products.
• Educate healthcare professionals on product use, maintenance, functionality, updates, and portfolio changes.
• Tailor promotional messaging based on customer knowledge and needs.
• Advise on appropriate product selection and answer customer questions.
• Distinguish Stryker products from competitors’ offerings.
• Analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns.
• Negotiate price and terms of transactions between Stryker and customers.
• Resolve customer complaints and questions.
• Disseminate in-depth product knowledge, including features and competitive differentiators.
• Communicate with large groups and via telephone.
• Perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Use common office equipment (e.g., fax, modem, calculator, PC).
• Travel up to 20% overnight annually.
• Drive an automobile as part of the role.

Requirements

• 0-2 years in an outside sales position (medical-related fields preferred).
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Field sales training and in-field training experience.
• Successful completion of in-house product training program.

Pay

$60,000 base salary plus benefits.
