About the role

The Certified Color Consultant at Sally Beauty is responsible for maximizing sales and fostering customer loyalty through hair color consultations and selling skills. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with DIY enthusiasts and enhancing brand awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal customer experiences to help DIY enthusiasts achieve their hair color goals.
• Introduce customers to the Hair Color category and utilize selling behaviors to elevate Sally Beauty as the leader in hair color.
• Support the team in meeting or exceeding hair color sales goals.
• Generate cross-category sales by introducing new categories and increasing brand awareness.
• Record all sales in the POS system, handle monetary transactions, and complete daily paperwork and reporting.
• Price merchandise, process back stock, assist with shipment processing, and perform housekeeping duties.
• Collaborate with the team to onboard and train new associates, and mentor other employees to enhance hair color knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention policies, and participate in inventory control and hazardous material handling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• One year of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Clear, concise communication skills.
• Availability to meet business scheduling needs.
• Product knowledge from training and certification courses.
• Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of iPad and internet/social media platforms.
• Ability to follow directions and perform additional duties as assigned.
