About the role

The Certified Color Consultant at Sally Beauty is responsible for maximizing sales and fostering customer loyalty through hair color consultations and selling behaviors. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18 years of age or older, and 1+ year of retail sales/customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal customer experience to ensure successful hair color goal achievement
• Introduce customers to the Hair Color category and provide color consultations
• Elevate Sally Beauty as the leader in hair color through selling behaviors and omni-channel strategies
• Create customer retention by driving desired client survey scores and reviews
• Determine customer color and care needs and offer professional advice and recommendations
• Generate cross-category sales by introducing new categories and increasing sales and profitability
• Record all sales in the POS, handle monetary transactions, complete daily paperwork, and make bank deposits
• Price merchandise, process back stock, assist with shipment processing, and perform housekeeping duties
• Support with planograms as needed
• May open and close the store
• Establish technical expertise in products, policies, and programs
• Complete all training programs as directed
• Be a continuous learner to stay current on industry trends

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1+ year retail sales/customer service experience preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management
• Available to meet the scheduling needs of the business
• Execute product knowledge from training to support with customer service
• Explain product labels
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by Manager
• Comprehensive knowledge of iPad and internet/social media platforms
• Present a professional image and interact positively with the public
