Sales Associate

Job Purpose

The Sales Associate is the principal selling agent for the company and is responsible for achieving short and long-range sales objectives for the Institutional Customer Division. This includes maintaining existing customers, coordinating sales activities, and developing business relationships.

Essential Job Functions

• Travel to customers and potential customers’ facilities to provide information and support.
• Establish, maintain, and develop business relationships with customers in the assigned territory.
• Sell Wismettac products to all customers in the assigned territory.
• Grow business by anticipating customer needs and providing high-level customer service.
• Communicate sales plans and manage resources to support sales volume.
• Communicate new product and service opportunities to appropriate company staff.
• Cooperate with the accounting department to collect account receivables.
• Aid in establishing sales objectives for the territory in cooperation with the Sales Manager.
• Collaborate with assigned Operations and Logistics staff to achieve territory sales goals.
• Provide timely reporting of activities in the field to assist in business and product planning.
• Submit sales activity reports and other reports as needed.
• Attend quarterly inventory counts.

Japanese or Korean/English Bilingual Required

Japanese or Korean/English bilingual is preferred.

Education/Experience/Training

• High School Degree / GED
• 1-2 years of sales experience in the Asian food industry is desired
• Familiarity with Wismettac products and services
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with word processing software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Valid drivers license

Knowledge/Skills/Ability

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Cooperative and team-oriented behavior
• Quick and accurate data entry and updating
• Ability to travel to customer locations
• Ability to learn Oracle ERP software
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
