Sales Associate

About the role

A dynamic, customer service-driven Part-Time Sales Associate responsible for generating sales and building customer relationships in our retail stores. Associates will maximize sales opportunities by interacting with customers, identifying their needs, and maintaining contact beyond the initial sale.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals agreed upon with your store manager
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of merchandise features and benefits to maximize sales opportunities
• Identify customer needs, overcome objections, and provide solutions as a quick thinker
• Develop client relationships beyond the initial transaction using phone, email, and written follow-up
• Maintain housekeeping and visual standards of the store, including receiving merchandise and processing markdowns
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) register system and email system efficiently
• Safeguard store inventory by adhering to the company’s loss prevention program
• Follow all store operational policies and procedures
• Manage client book and clienteling activities

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales is preferred
• Sales-driven, goal-oriented, and highly personable individual
• Positive, high-energy, friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality
• Willingness to initiate customer contact and identify shopping needs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction
• Computer skills to operate retail POS system, Word, Excel, and email
• Able to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds and use ladders or stairs

Pay

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $18.70 to $21 hourly, depending on experience, skills, budget, and geographic location.
