About the role

A Sales Associate in a pet retail environment supports pet health and safety by providing accurate product and pet care information, maintaining a clean and safe space for pets and customers, and assisting customers with product selection and transactions. They create a welcoming atmosphere, foster positive customer experiences, and work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, knowledgeable customer service and educate on products and promotions.
• Support store operations including stocking, merchandising, inventory accuracy, and store cleanliness.
• Assist with cashiering, returns, and exchanges while ensuring safety standards.
• Help maintain the well-being of animals in accordance with policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Passion for animals and interest in pet care; retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to multitask.
• Basic math skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around animals.

Work Environment & Additional Info

The role involves active engagement on the sales floor, providing customer assistance, cashiering, and working around animals with exposure to odors and noises.
