Sales Associate

Duties

• Aid in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Support store operations as needed.
• Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Ensure merchandise is handled correctly and maintained properly.
• Maintain the store’s stock levels according to the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
• Participate in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Report any theft, customer complaints, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Comply with store policies and procedures.
• Model professional conduct and work habits for beneficiaries participating in the work therapy program.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and understand English for effective communication.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions.

About the Role

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers aim to make a positive impact on individuals' lives by providing essential support and fostering spiritual growth. The in-residence rehabilitation program offers a range of services including basic necessities, work therapy, counseling, and spiritual guidance. This position supports the work therapy program by demonstrating professional behavior and work habits.

The Sales and Production Associate works in a production store, assisting with various tasks such as handling donations, managing inventory, and interacting with customers. The role requires a strong focus on customer service and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

This position is part-time, offering 25 hours per week, with potential for sick and vacation time benefits.
