Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service, assisting with merchandise selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, operate cash register, process transactions, and handle payments.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise following company processes; build attractive displays.
• Maintain store cleanliness by cleaning floors, restrooms, and other areas; manage trash removal.
• Help set up sidewalk displays and support store operations as directed by the Store Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate cash registers.
• Physical ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, and occasional climbing.
• Preferred Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Conditions

Fast-paced environment requiring frequent movement, handling merchandise, and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
