Sales Associate
About the role
As a Sales Consultant, you'll play a meaningful role in your customers' lives, helping them find the right furniture for their home through a blend of consultative selling, genuine customer engagement, and thoughtful needs assessment. You'll create a personalized buying experience that builds customer satisfaction and naturally drives sales conversion. Whether your background is in retail, hospitality, teaching, or another customer-focused environment, you'll bring your ability to connect with people, understand their needs, and guide them to the right solution.
In this role, you'll grow your business by building relationships, engaging with new and existing customers, and contributing to client prospecting, lead generation, and ongoing relationship management. You'll also identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling in a way that enhances the customer experience. Success comes from your ability to build trust, deliver great service, and consistently meet goals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Create a personalized buying experience through consultative selling and needs assessment
- Build relationships with new and existing customers
- Engage in client prospecting and lead generation
- Manage ongoing customer relationships
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities that enhance the customer experience
- Build trust and deliver great service to consistently meet sales goals
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and creating a great customer experience
- Strong listening skills and a naturally consultative approach
- Experience connecting with customers (retail, hospitality, service, or sales)
- Confidence in guiding decisions, including closing sales and overcoming objections respectfully
- Interest or experience in building relationships that drive repeat business
- Comfort working toward goals, including sales quotas and performance metrics
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Comfort with technology and learning new tools
- U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available
Sales experience is great—but not required. We also value experience in hospitality, restaurants, retail, customer service, teaching, or other people-focused roles.
