Sales Associate
About the Role
Rain for Rent® Sales Associates maintain and develop customer and prospect relationships to increase revenues in an assigned geographical territory tied to specific zip codes. The role involves communicating key market conditions, opportunities, and threats to management, along with recommended plans and activities. Sales Associates collaborate with operations and other staff to exceed customer, supplier, and co-worker expectations in alignment with the Company Mission, Vision, and Values, including active leadership in Safety programs. This position requires a "hunter mentality" to increase the number of customers, rental revenue, and diversification into new market segments. The coverage area spans from Brownsville, TX to McAllen, and the ideal candidate will reside within this territory.

Responsibilities
- Engage in all assigned training and development programs.
- Utilize and explain sales tools and processes competently.
- Complete initial and continuing education on product specifications, equipment applications, and market segment drivers.
- Plan, promote, develop, and execute the sale and rental of Company products and services (including design, installation, and operation) to increase new accounts and expand business with repeat customers.
- Grow revenues and share of wallet with key branch, regional, and national accounts within the assigned territory.
- Travel throughout the territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
- Ensure all Marketing leads and opportunities are qualified and reported in ZOHO CRM.
- Actively participate in business development opportunities such as Lunch and Learn sessions (2 per month), Product Demonstrations (12 per month), Trade Associations, and Shows.
- Communicate business strategies using ZOHO CRM, including activities, leads, opportunities, market conditions, competition activity, and new product opportunities.
- Assist Sales and Marketing management teams with market research, product development testing, and launches.
- Work with Branch and Office Managers on the timely collection of accounts receivables.
- Acquire field signatures on quotes, change orders, and invoices as required.
- Conduct pricing and quoting using the Rain for Rent Quoting System to meet profit objectives for the assigned territory.
- Develop relationships and revenues through regular, quality face-to-face sales calls.
- Thoroughly and accurately detail the terms and conditions of each quote to satisfy the customer and limit the Company’s exposure and risk.
- Manage and maintain the customer ZOHO CRM database, ensuring all relevant information is accurately included to enable an effective sales process.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of operations.
Work Environment
The role requires onsite presence at a Rain for Rent office and/or branch location. In-person work is a priority to foster collaboration, connection, and a strong workplace culture. Limited remote or hybrid options are available.
