Sales Associate
About the Role
Lead other team members by example in accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company service standards. Meet sales and work goals set by store management while following company policies and procedures. Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness, positive attitude, and product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by practicing company service standards.
- Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and merchandise presentation.
- Ensure stock is well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store remains clean and organized.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
- Monitor and address Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
- Participate in physical inventories, shipping/receiving merchandise, and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions accurately and in accordance with policy, including checking shoes for mates.
- Maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation.
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and employees at all levels.
- Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
- Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
- Understanding of visual merchandising and Store Presentation Standards.
