Sales Associate

About the role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work while meeting sales and operational goals set by store management. Control cash, process transactions, and maintain strict accuracy of sales documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and product knowledge.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stock is well arranged, properly merchandised, and the store is clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping/receiving merchandise, and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including checking shoes for mates.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.

$12.77 - $14.69 hourly.
